Simbirsite is from the Russian city of Simbirsk. It is a jaw-dropping gemstone with a thin vein of pyrite running along the edge of the brown pattern. The veins of pyrite were originally the bone of the ammonite. Formed over millions and millions of years, Simbersite with pyrite is both a gemstone and fossil.
The two stones at the bottom are Pietersite and the little accent stone at the top is amber.
The piece is about 3 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. It is on a substantial 18" sterling silver omega chain.
