This was my favorite stone from the Tucson Gem and Mineral show last spring. It was cut by my favorite stone cutter, Greg King, from Taos, New Mexico. I intend to visit his studio in November when I'm out there.
The stone is called Coyomito Agate and it's dripping with these lovely pinks and browns. I've never seen anything like it in a natural stone. I played with the shapes in designing the piece and accented it with rose quartz and lab grown rubies. I'm in love.
The pendant is 2 3/4 inches long by 2 inches wide. It is suspended on a fabulous sterling silver snake chain that can adjust from 24 inches down to whatever shorter length you like.
“Then, slowly, like the sunrise peeking over the horizon, she smiled.
She snapped the box closed.
She didn’t scream. She didn’t run. She didn’t faint.
There might have been a little crying.
But mostly… she danced.”
