I went to the Tucson Gem and Mineral show; it's the largest in the world. Days of walking, looking, touching. Tens of thousands of cut stones; tens of thousands of rough stones. And there it was. A natural, sparkling perfect druzy.
I also found a place - only one - that had the most luscious, natural moonstones. These moonstones are exactly how they came out of the earth - no dyes, no treatments, just shaped and polished by master lapidary artists.
These are the first stones that called out to me. They called out even before I made it home, pestering me from my backpack on the airplane. I see why. Exquisite.
The piece is made from sterling and fine silver. It suspends from a 16" sterling silver round omega chain.
The pendant is about 2 1/2 inches wide by about 2 1/4 inch tall.
“Tell me the story.
About how the sun loved the moon so much..
That she died every night..
Just to let him breathe...”
