Like tulips finally popping up. When people see you with this one they'll smile. This stone is called Ruby in Fuchsite. It's actual ruby before they mine it out of the rock.
The little accents are lab grown ruby. It's one of the few times I use a stone that isn't natural only because it's perfect in its rubyness.
I accented the piece with a 14K gold bail, of course.
The pendant is about 1 1/2 inches tall by about 1 1/2 inches wide. The stones are set using sterling, fine silver. The pendant is suspended on a sterling silver omega chain.
“It was such a spring day as breathes into a man an ineffable yearning, a painful sweetness, a longing that makes him stand motionless, looking at the leaves or grass, and fling out his arms to embrace he knows not what.” --John Galsworthy, The Forsyte Saga
