This unusual stone traveled all the way to Ely from Madagascar. There are wonderful bumps and curves and even a painterly swipe of yellow ocher. I added an accent stone of Oregon Opal. Yes, opal comes in all sorts of unexpected forms. This one is a luminous, buttery yellow and it was the perfect choice to mirror the round lobe in the large stone.
The stones are set with sterling and fine silver with 14K gold accents. The pendant suspends from an 18" substantial sterling silver round omega chain.
“I know a girl from whose body sunbeams rose to the clouds as if they’d fallen from the sun. Her laugh was like a bangle of bells. “Your hair is wet,” I told her one day, “Did you take a bath?” “It is dew!” she laughed, “I’ve been lying in the grass. All morning long, I lay here waiting for the dawn.” --Roman Payne
