We were lucky enough to have Tonya Sell come to Ely to teach an acrylic painting class. I haven't made a segue away from my medium for quite a while and thought a little inspiration was in order.
I was an artist in the American Craft Council art show in St. Paul. It's stiff competition to get into this show and there was a LOT of jewelry there. Not a big fish in this one.
We took a trip to Isla Mujeres, Mexico, to get some color and inspiration.

A friend was over while I was drawing ideas for this piece. Once I got it right, she said it reminded her of a fox. So that's what I named it.
