My on the road shows are over for the season. I have one final big show but that one is right here in Ely.
Here is my little corner of the world. This was in Bayfront Park in Duluth last weekend. See my little fan rigged up on the pole behind my chair?
That and this scarf was what saved me in the searing heat. I soaked this scarf in ice water, wrung it out and draped it around my neck and shoulders.
A super fast way to cool down your core is to jump into Lake Superior. We did that on Friday after setting up my tent. Ahh. Delicious and shocking.
At Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis I had a beautiful backdrop of the lake. I also had massive shade trees. Even though it was warm, I didn't overheat during the day at this one. My tent is the one all buttoned up. The guy you see was my neighbor. He made paintings by dipping drumsticks in paint and drumming on the canvas. Pretty cool stuff.
My neighbor in Bayfront had these magnificent portraits of dogs. I may commission one at some point. Click the photo to go to her website and see more of her work.
Back home during a break between shows we had a friend and his daughter from Chicago visit. Berries were in full season, so I had everyone pick the berries and we made a little jam. Delicious on ice cream!
I'm happy to be settled in back home. Today's high temp is 57 degrees. Perfect.
