The Boundary Waters are literally right out our back door. We live on an entry point lake. Life here is really quiet. Especially in winter when the snow muffles sound like a soft blanket.
After we made it to a fishing spot, we drilled some holes in the ice and set up a few tip-ups. We only had one bite, but it was a good one. Here's the Northern Pike Steve, caught!
This is the biggest fish I've ever seen come through an eight inch hole in the ice. We shared it with Tim and Alisa.
