You know I live in the woods.
I'm alone, a lot.
Here's what happens sometimes (or all of the time if I'm really being honest).
Stones talk to me. They pop up and demand to be made into something. I pretend I'm not listening or that I don't know what they are talking about. But then I say, "Alright, then, but you'd better tell me what you want to be."
This one wanted to be Art Deco.
I saw the lines in the Tiger Iron stone (the lines are formed by Earth's tectonic plates smashing together Tiger Eye, Hematite, and Red Jasper) and wanted to echo those vertical lines.
With all of those lines going on, the piece needed a balance. Circles!
Everything needs to connect together somehow, so I put in those little squares.
The thing is, this piece wanted to get made in exactly this way. If it didn't, it would have fought me along the way. The little circles wouldn't have lined up. Something would have melted down. Any number of calamities could happen. And they didn't.
Let's see what the next stone wants to be.
